David Greener is Conceptual Films’ CEO and Executive Producer. David has been in the film and television industry for nearly twenty years. He has a wealth of experience in all facets of the business -- from the art department to the camera department, from pre-production to post-production. This experience has been vital in David’s overall vision for the company. David has been at the helm in developing some the company’s most important projects. One of these, the CBC event The Last Voyage to the Empress, was an epic documentary that changed Canadian history. The Last Voyage of the Empress is the story of Canada’s greatest maritime disaster that claimed more than 1000 lives (more passengers died in this tragedy than on the Titanic). David was instrumental in solving the controversy behind the disaster. Other shows include the stylish and globally successful fashion doc series Cover Stories, which follows fashion icon Jeanne Beker and her team around the world as they put together fashion features and shoots in some of the most glamorous places on earth. The series enjoyed wide success in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia. Other highlights include: negotiating and winning the rights for the Pulitzer Prize-winning book Ghost Wars from prominent author and former Washington Post editor Steve Coll. David also managed to secure access with one of the world’s top security firms for the blue chip doc series – Life Force. Lastly, David is currently behind the lens for the feature documentary A Sleezy Rock Opera, which follows the dramatic story of an up-and-coming rock band as they struggle to make it in the fickle music industry. Also, David and business partner Jeanne Beker are currently developing an online iTV/Social Media Portal dedicated to fashion and lifestyle content – http://JeanneSpace.com
