Being Jake Campbell is no easy feat: part struggling artist, part emotional train wreck. Jake Campbell is a very talented but frustrated 28-year-old want-to-be fashion photographer. Jake is doing whatever it takes to stay in the business -- shooting what he can, when he can -- from weddings to catalogue to corporate. Far from the glamour of the fashion world, but it puts food on the table, barely. Things are about to change for Jake as he meets the head of a new modeling agency and she is about to give him his big break. The agency specializes in placing models with Maxim and Playboy. Herein lies the problem -- Jake feels he is ready for the big leagues and the agency director thinks he’s not, and needs more time to develop. A love triangle with the agency director and one of her top models develops. Follow Jake in a web of deceit as he conjures up a fake shoot to further his career, but it ends up falling apart and the love triangle is exposed. Being Jake is a street level look at the underbelly of the glam world captured through the lens of the photographer experiencing it firsthand. Pilot & 5X6’ Drama/Reality Hybrid
